Even as I type this, I can still see little snow mounds from our recent wacky weather Sunday! Can you believe that?! And they say global warming isn't real!
That's not why I am here! I am here to show you a little sneak preview of Little Green's new look!
How did this idea come to fruition you ask? Well I am about to tell you!
One day I was lying in bed as the sun was still rising, thinking about all the things we think about when we are just about to start our day...and I had this awake dream (have you had those before?). I thought to myself...it would be so cool if somehow I could make sprinkles look like the flames you see on sides of roadsters (not sure if I am using the proper term there).
So...what do I do next? I get in touch with my new best buddy Wes Douglas who has done AMAZING work for me the past year. And he pretty much read my brain and magically produced exactly what I awake dreamed.
So...what do you think? Share your thoughts on Facebook or post a comment here.
We welcome your feedback cuz basically you are the best!
We are so excited for her to be finished up and get her cruising down the road to your upcoming event!
Just a couple ideas...
*schools out for summer*
Go ahead and fill out our booking inquiry form and we will get right back to you.
We have low minimums, friendly faces, and of course de-lish cupcakes!

Positive Reinvention of the Wheel
Wow! I am so relieved and excited that our revisions are finally complete to our cafe menu at Courageous. It's been quite a process of designing, tweaking, editing and exercising loads of patience from my graphic design team MyMenuista. They have been so incredible and I am floored by their work.
Don't be alarmed...I haven't taken away your favorites from Courageous! We essentially took our current menu, reinvented it and added some new items that will quickly become your new favorites! Here are some quick snippets on what you will find when you visit our stores this Monday March 19th.
- A clean and cheerful menu that is better organized for your rumbling tummy to make a fast decision.
- Neat, legible fonts that are well spaced on slightly larger menu paper.
- New dishes like Tex-Mex Hash, Chia Seed Pudding Parfait, Presley Pancakes & eight more amazing dishes you NEED to come try.
- We even brought back an old friend the "Spanish Omelet" who we hope you missed and will forgive for being gone so long.
- You'll also love our dietary icons to help you find the spicy, gluten free, vegan and vegetarian dishes with ease.
With a new paper menu also comes new & improved chalk boards. I hate to break this to you, but they will no longer be handwritten by yours truly. Gasp I know! I adored the homey touch of our handwritten boards; I took great pride in basically making magic happen in the night with updates in the morning. However, local print shops Elmhurst Blueprint and the Printing Store in Oak Park really know how to take care of a lady and made me an offer I couldn't refuse. A.K.A. They print 12 boards for me and I can catch Zzzz's on Sunday night to see you on Monday!
In closing, on behalf of my team, we are all SUPER jazzed about this update and look forward to a blues free Monday at Courageous. As I do each and every day...I look forward to seeing you!

Over these blustery wintery months I have been working extensively on projects to update our brand and identity. I knew it was going to be a long road, but felt in my gut that it was time for a refresh.
Cause for change.
The primary push towards this project was listening to no one else but YOU, our fans. I listened to guests when dining at our stores. I read reviews on major platforms such as Yelp & google. I bumped into you around town regarding "Courageous" as your favorite place to be. <3
From cupcakes to much more.
I started my small business with the cupcake truck, launching as "Cupcakes for Courage". What a journey it has been since then! It all began with a cupcake truck which lead to the first brick & mortar in Elmhurst. Next came a baby in a bakery (my beloved son Sam) and shortly thereafter the second cupcake truck. And finally our spot in Oak Park which has been working hard since September 2017. Through all of this, we have grown to be so much more than just cupcakes. We offer handmade pastries, locally roasted coffee and lattes, and a full breakfast and lunch menu. If I had a dollar every time I met someone that said, "Wow, I didn't know you had a full menu, I thought you were just cupcakes!"
Collaboration leads to change.
I took into consideration all of these factors and concluded it was time to refresh! So I called up my friends again at MyMenuista to help me with this. They are also a woman owned small business that has done amazing quality work for me through the years. Taking into account our past logos for "Cupcakes for Courage" and "Courageous Bakery Cafe" our ultimate goal was to update the look and set prominence to "Courageous" alone while still maintaining our identity as a bakery cafe that supports cancer research.
The new logo design of course lead to more projects! Coming soon you will notice new colorful awnings at our stores, our cupcake trucks will be getting make-overs, and we redesigned all of our cafe/catering menus for readability and to introduce fantastic new menu items that cater to the gluten free/vegetarian/vegan community.
We look forward to introducing you to all of the NEW that is coming. Watch your inbox for future emails to announce the completion of our other projects.
